This is my new page series. The first I shall dedicate to Adolf Hitler.
By June of 1941 things were going swimmingly for Adolf and the master race, France, Belgium, Holland, Poland, Norway, Denmark (did I miss anyone?) were all down and out. The war in North Africa was going well and Adolf’s funlovers were threatening the Suez Canal.
It all seemed to go to his head about then and so the attack on the Soviet Union began…well…it all went OK for a while and then it went completely to shit. The Russians got a little upset, came back in a big way and crapped all over the Germans in the second, third and last quarters. What seemed like a good idea at first turned out to be a REALLY bad one – one that resulted in about 30,000,000 deaths and meant the thousand year Reich lasted about 12 years. Pretty poor cost-benefit ratio I would have said.
